Happy Easter Everyone!

With Tomorrow being Easter and everyone being busy with church and family celebrations I wanted to put my good wishes out to everyone a bit early!

May we all remember the reason why we celebrate this special day and all that it means...

Our Lord and Savior has risen!! He is our salvation! I am proud to say I am a Christian and hold tightly to my Lord! It is because of his love I am here and it is his strength that keeps me going everyday!

John 11:25-26Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. (NIV)

I admire all the butterfly goes through in its journey to get to its final emergence. I have been diagnosed with many different diseases from Fribromyalgia, OPCA, Myastinia Gravis, Parkinson's Disesase, Multiple Systems Atrophy...but the one that really put it all together was being diagnosed with LYME DISEASE ...Each day faced head-on armed with my faith and the support of family and friends...

Lyme Disease does not define me... It does; however, make life a challenge at times! At times I am depleted, but I am not defeated!

I don't walk this journey alone...It is through the challenges I face that continue to keep not only my life interesting but my faith in Christ at the forefront of it all!

(Isaiah 40:28-31 NKJV) Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. {29} He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. {30} Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, {31} But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Message to those with A-Typical PD, MSA, PSP, ALS & other Neuro Issues!

Please be aware that Lyme disease can present itself as many different other diseases! It like Syphilis has been named the great imitator! There was a study conducted on 19 ALS patients they were all tested for Lyme Disease and 9 came back POSITIVE! Read here from Pamela Weintraub's (author: Cure Unkown; Inside the Lyme Epidemic) blog

Please note: I am not saying all Neurological diseases are Lyme related, but I bet many are! This is my personal opinion. I am not a doctor.

I do suggest this...If you are not presenting like others with the same diagnosis as you, if some of your symptoms don't fit with the diagnosis, if the medications are not working, if you are progressing at a faster rate... You just might want to seek a Lyme literate physician to discuss your symptoms/medical issues with.
